About Simple Security Tips

Hi. I’m Tom Brownsword, and I want to welcome you to Simple Security Tips. My goal is simple: To take my extensive experience in the security industry and turn it into simple, practical tips that you can use every day to make your life just a bit more secure.

While my main focus is computer security (I hold several computer security accreditations), my main goal is to help you. My knowledge and experience is not limited to computer security. The same basic principles that form the foundation of computer security also apply to other areas. I’ve also worked as a general security manager for several military units and been responsible for securing almost anything you can imagine.

But a “focus” isn’t enough. I have a goal — a passion — and that goal is to help people. If some small tip you read on this web site prevents you from experiencing a loss or helps you better secure something, then I’ve accomplished my goal.
